Abstract :
Power quality of two different wind farms is continuously measured and studied in this paper. Separately equipped with FSIG+PMSG and DFIG, the two wind farms are also with different installed capacity and grid-tied voltage level. Based on long time measurement data, power quality of the two wind farms is compared and analyzed, which includes harmonic, flicker, unbalance, voltage deviation and frequency deviation. In addition, according to year-round monitoring data for the two wind farms, the relationship between active and reactive power, output power and frequency, output power and wind speed, and their power change are also contrasted and researched. Besides, low voltage ride through (LVRT) capability of wind farms is simulated and analyzed, and its impact on the grid is studied. Finally, aimed at wind farms equipped with different wind turbines and grid-tied voltage level, some conclusions about power quality, power characteristic, reactive power compensation and LVRT capability are given.
