Abstract :
In this paper, a fuzzy adaptive filter (FAF) is applied to satellite packet data system demodulation. This approach is much simpler than the existing demodulator. it achieves better performance (0.3 dB gain) than the existing schemes such as linear interpolation with decision feedback. This algorithm breaks the limitation of the number of unique words (training sequences) and nonuniform pattern of the unique word. The parameters are determined via mining and extracting knowledge based on the unique word.
