Abstract
For submicron designs, it is recommended to use Composite Current Source (CCS) libraries, but is CCS really more accurate than Non-Linear Delay Model (NLDM)? To answer this question, one of the tasks that can be performed is to correlate the results from PrimeTime using CCS and NLDM with the golden results from a circuit simulator such as HSPICE [1]. The focus of this paper is to describe an automated process that allows the user to properly correlate the timing paths delay and slew results from PrimeTime with results from HSPICE based on a real design in 65 nm.
