Abstract :
This paper proposes a novel modeling approach for parallel three-phase buck rectifiers. The averaging of the switching network is based on a generic functional switching unit. Both average and small-signal models are developed. The models reveal zero-sequence interaction between the two parallel converters. In order to minimize the zero-sequence interaction, a control scheme that uses variable zero-vectors is proposed and implemented. Simulation results with both average and switching models are presented.
