Abstract
Main topic of the article is the new X-band 8 kW output power transmitter NSX-880 designed to operate as a part of airborne radar system. The transmitter was designed and made in Warsaw division of Telecommunication Research Institute. This design combines the use of switched mode power supply and high efficiency TWT MEC 3848 made by Teledyne Electronic Technologies. This presentation contains such topics as: technical parameters of the transmitter, functional diagram of the transmitter, short information about main parts and circuits of the system and some measurements results.
