Abstract :
In this paper the effects of limit cycle oscillations in recursive second order digital filter is studied and the remedies for curing the problems of limit cycle oscillations are described. Limit cycle deletion using state space representation for second order system implemented with finite word-length register, is depicted. Necessary and sufficient condition to prevent limit cycle oscillation has also been described.
