Abstract :
We have developed all-digital and modularized detectors named as basic detector modules (BDMs). They are self-sufficient γ photon detection and analysis systems which capture γ photons and provide the single events information formatted as an event frames. Such BDMs may give the scientist their “LEGO bricks” to build any system according to their wildest inspirations. They will arouse a revolution in PET system design and bring a boost to all kinds of new PET applications.
