Abstract :
In this paper, we present the results of evaluating the performance of the forward link of a CDMA cellular radio system. We use a semianalytical approach consisting of the waveform level simulation of the analog channel followed by the hidden Markov modeling of the discrete channel. The performance parameters of the discrete channel were evaluated analytically using the hidden Markov model and compared with the results of simulation
