Abstract :
This paper investigates the fault-tolerant control problem for a class of nonlinear systems with actuator faults, in which the control input is described by a nonlinear function with dead-zone. Using sliding mode and adaptive techniques, fault compensation method based fault-tolerant control law is designed to guarantee the stability of the faulty systems. The considered faults are unknown constant actuator faults with an unknown occurred time. In this paper, a fault tolerant control algorithm for nonlinear systems is proposed, and then the improved design is suggested. Finally, an example is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
