Abstract :
In this paper, we propose an efficient watermarking scheme for digital image tamper detection and recovery. To enhance the capability of resisting VQ attacks, the image is partitioned into interrelated regions with irregular shapes. Authentication watermark, which can detect and locate the tampered region, is generated by a feedback-based chaotic system. Recovery watermark is constructed by applying a reference sharing mechanism on the encoded DCT coefficients and embedded into each region dispersedly. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed scheme can successfully identify and recover the tampered regions.
