Abstract
Losses of electrical energy occurring in the process of its distribution increase the cost and affect economic performance. Measures taken towards reducing losses have to be based on the analysis of losses over an extended period of time. Such analysis can also be a source of information on the network condition and energy sale. There are a number of factors contributing to technical losses in the network. Excessive loss can naturally follow from differences in surface loads, the network being in need of modernisation, or exploitation conditions.
