Abstract :
In order to overcome the impact on the grid and the local destruction of voltage stability and power quality caused by the stochastic fluctuation of wind farm output power, the Electric Double Layer Capacitor (EDLC) that can complete charge and discharge in a very short time is used to solve the problem. The active and reactive power decoupling control strategy of four-quadrant Voltage Source Converter (VSC) is adopted to curb the wind farm output fluctuation of and stabilize the voltage of the bus. Due to EDLC voltage variation in the process of charging and discharging, a Bi-directional DC-DC converter is used as a voltage adapter to maintain the voltage stability of DC bus. The specific operating mode of EDLC Energy Storage System (EESS) was discussed. The control strategy of four-quadrant VSC was analyzed. The operation simulation of EESS proposed in this paper was done by DigSILENT/PowerFactory.
