Abstract :
At present the main problem of short-time Generation Scheduling software is the low level of automatical planning which cannot coordinate well network security constraints, capacity constraints and other practical constraints. This kind of situation results in low efficiency of making plan. The result of Generation Scheduling is unsatisfactory and unable to achieve the security and economy unification. Security Constrained Unit Commitment (SCUC) and Security Constrained Economic Dispatch (SCED) technology which can calculate the large-scale power grid unit commitment and economic dispatch problems has made tremendous progress. This paper reports upon the security-constrained commitment and dispatch algorithms and their implementation for Fujian power grid short-time Generation Scheduling. The Mixed Integer Programming (MIP) method is utilized to solve the short-time Generation Scheduling commitment problem and the Linear Programming (LP) method solves the short-time Generation Scheduling economic dispatch problem. The design and implementation of Generation Scheduling system on the basis of SCUC and SCED are discussed in the paper. The purpose, design ideas and architecture of the integrated system as well as functions of sub-systems in it and algorithms adopted are expounded. The System includes the following functions: flow management, case management, constraint management, cost construction and management, closed-loop iterative optimization and Security Check, Result demonstration and evaluation etc. The actual operating practice of presented system in Fujian power grid proves that it can mitigate the dispatchers´burden and run stably with correct scheduling given.
