In the backdrop of current rocketing growth of information technology and with the further opening of the building market, the building products have entered the market as commodities and the demand of the market for engineering information has been on the up. Sequentially, the construction costs information constitutes the significant part of the building market information. This paper introduces the basic concepts and the main contents of construction costs information, expounds the accumulation, management and application of the construction costs information and data, analyses the current status of the construction costs information management of China at the present stage, its problems existing and tables proposals to establish effective construction costs information management modes with the aim to develop the construction costs information one kind of resources for development, utilization, exchanges and permeation and accomplish shared resources through the computer network.
