Abstract
Adaptive lattice infinite impulse response (IIR) structures and their stability are considered. Several methods for preserving the structural stability of adaptive lattice IIR filters are compared. It is shown that by choosing a suitable projection of constraints an algorithm can be developed which is not prone to instability of the filter itself. Several simulation results show the improvement of this method with respect to the conventional methods
