Abstract :
A study of multi-object recognition method of a linear frequency-modulated continuous-wave (FMCW) radar system is presented. Principles of FMCW signal with its relation to the characteristics of the detected objects are reviewed. Two-dimensional fast Fourier transform (FFT) and time-frequency analysis (TFA) techniques are performed calculating information of detected objects from received radar signals. In time-frequency analysis, techniques including Gabor transform (GT), Wigner distribution function (WDF) and Gabor-Wigner transform (GWT) are demonstrated. Advantages and disadvantages of these methods are discussed.
