Abstract
In the last few years, the topics about the visual performance in mesopic photometry used for road lighting and exterior lighting have occurred in the field of professional debates as well as wide public. These applications are specific by their low levels of illuminance, respectively low level of brightness which the observer is adapted to. The exact determination of photometric characteristics in mesopic perception and methodology itself is difficult. Still there is not general agreement on defining the impact of the whole visual process in mesopic field. This article presents theoretical impact on the energy performance of road lighting in mesopic field.
