Abstract
The dramatic growth in the number of installed decentralized generating units forces the public utilities to define more and more operating scenarios involving decentralized generation and investigate their impact on the existing power grid. Aim of this paper is to illustrate and analyze some strategies in order to guarantee reliability of operations in LV local energy systems by massive presence of renewable energy sources, taking into consideration the variable production (influenced by the weather) and consumption (due to the consumer types and habits) over wide time horizons.
