Abstract :
A method, which is used to control a kind of single-phase active power filter (APF) based on the principle of power balance, is introduced in this article. According to this method, the input active component required in the whole system can be obtained through the regulation of DC side voltage feedback, from the perspective of active energy balance. It does not need complex harmonic wave detection, just one current signal and one voltage signal, so that the entire control system can be simplified. In addition, the reactive component of system current can also be adjusted in similar methods, thus a kind of active power filter with Static Var Generator function is achieved. The simulation results show that the filter has good static and dynamic compensation performance, high practical value, and a certain role in promoting the development of smart grid.
