Abstract :
As a key technology in next generation mobile communication standards, OFDM is used in downlink data transmission in LTE system, not only reaching the spectrum flexibility requirements, but also realizing higher peak data rate. However it is very sensitive to frequency offset, which has stricter demands on time and frequency synchronization. In this paper, we primarily focus on synchronization algorithm in time domain and then propose its improved algorithm. The simulation results indicate that the symbol timing and synchronization can be effectively and accurately estimated in the improved algorithm. In addition, a symbol timing and synchronization process based on DSP implementation is presented subsequently.
