Abstract :
In order to form a sustainable digital knowledge ecosystem (DKE), networking of knowledge actors and organization of their communities has substantial effect upon its long term performance. The measure of performance and sustain-ability of any such system depends upon the knowledge level of individual actors, who evolve into knowledge organisms (KO) and play multiple roles. Here we attempt to develop an ecosystem framework where a KO acts as the smallest conceptual unit of a DKE which incorporates a dasiaselfpsila actuating mechanism within the system. ICT acts as the network backbone and it fosters activation among the knowledge actors to climb the learning curve, cross the threshold and bring them to the functional level of a KO. KOs act as a fundamental construct of a DKE who explore and exploit the opportunities for their survival and healthy growth and further develops a dasiaselfpsila creating, dasiaselfpsila organizing, dasiaselfpsila structuring, dasiaselfpsila adjusting and dasiaselfpsila sustaining DKE.
