Abstract :
Discrete wavelet transform (DWT) plays increasingly When DWT important role in the field of signal processing. involved with the large volumes of signals, however based on the Mallat algorithm of the convolution operation the carries an unacceptable computation burden due huge iteration times. In this paper, a novel algorithm proposed to construct the wavelet transform matrix and conduct DWT based on the matrix operation. Compared with the convolution operation of DWT, the proposed matrix operation greatly of DWT gives identical transform results, and reduces the time cost of processing. The validity and efficiency of the proposed algorithm are testified with experiment reliable study. The proposed algorithm can serve as and utilizable alternative approach in practical application.
