Abstract :
Genetic algorithms (GA) have attracted attention in recent years as a method of solving combinatorial optimization problems. This research is an application of these algorithms to the problem of determining the laying sequence for a continuous girder reinforced concrete floor system. If the number of design variables and the number of combinations are large, it is often impossible to obtain a solution with a simple GA. In this research, we applied GA to a 3-span continuous girder composed of 33 panels, and improved the GA operators. As a result were able to obtain a practical solution
