Abstract
Automatic Generation Control (AGC) is one of the important techniques in modern power system operation and control. It takes important tasks, such as, power system frequency regulation, tie-line power control between inter-connected power systems, and etc. Research results of the 1000kV AC UHV tie-line power control strategies in North China power Grid were introduced. Test results in real power system show the feasibility and validity of the strategies. The strategies have provided technical supports for stable operation of the UHV tie-line.
