Abstract :
In this paper, a strategy to combine digital and physical simulation to simulate the transient behaviors of large scale power system, was proposed. Based on back-to-back four-quadrant voltage source converter, a digital equivalent power system was constructed. Simulation results by PSCAD/EMTDC and physical simulation showed that the established digital equivalent power system can be used for physical simulation of the transient behaviors of large scale power system.
