Abstract :
Experimental multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) transmission systems employ offline processing with 64bit floating point (FP) precision, which require extensive logic for real-time implementation. We demonstrate 12bit FP precision with <;1dB OSNR penalty for a 41.7km 3 mode 28GBaud 16QAM transmission system.
