Abstract :
Perfect reconstruction and aliasing-free output infinite impulse response (IIR)/finite impulse response (FIR) analysis-synthesis systems are derived based on frequency interpolation filter banks (FIFBs). The authors try to extend the FIFB techniques to multirate FIFB analysis-synthesis systems. The design procedure of a whole perfect reconstruction system is outlined. The special feature of these perfect reconstruction filter bank systems is that both analysis banks and synthesis banks are computationally efficient to implement and are given by closed forms
