Abstract :
This paper describes PJM´s Generation and Merchant Transmission Interconnection process. It details the procedure implemented for interconnection projects to perform Generation Deliverability (GD) analysis including reliability criteria tests. This paper describes PJM´s improved process that addresses the issues due to dynamic queue activity and large interconnection requests. The process also accommodates requests such as Long Term Firm (LTF) projects, Incremental Deliverability Rights (IDR), Joint Coordination studies, and all generator and transmission interconnection requests in a coordinated queue (New Services Queue). Also, included is a discussion of the cost allocation process for the projects in the PJM New Services Queue.
