Abstract :
Nowadays, countries consider energy as politics and the power of competition with an increasing rivalry. Therefore, the importance of energy is going up and the importance of sustainability in energy policy and the decreasing policy of external dependence emerges. It is a scientific truth that actual energy resources will die out as a parallel to increasing energy. Besides, it is not possible to hold world-emission-value among current limits because of increasing population and energy demands. This situation makes the use of the renewable energy resources in energy production unavoidable. Basically, the sources can be listed as wind power, geothermal energy, biomass energy, hydrogen energy. In this study, it is mentioned the current potential of the renewable energy resources an account of sources in Turkey, the usage of this potential and their strategy also it is recommended how to use these sources effectively.
