Abstract :
Summary form only given. Results of experimental studying of cylindrical single and nested multivvire arrays compression in Z-pinch mode of the electric discharge at a current up to 3.5 MA are submitted, the purpose of work has consisted in finding-out of influence of initial characteristics of multiwire arrays on efficiency of transfer of electric energy from the generator of high-voltage pulses of a current in energy of plasma and on compactness of implosion of current-produced plasmas near to an axis of array. As indicators of efficiency of energy transfer power and duration of a X-ray pulse, generated by accelerated under action of Ampere force plasma at stagnation on an axis of array were used. Difference of temporal profiles of discharge current and a voltage recorded in experiments on multiwire arrays implosion with fixed linear mass from parameters of the temporal profiles of current and a voltage designed on model on the basis of set of modified 0-D equations of implosion of a thin shell for same parameters of multiwire arrays was determined. It is shown, that use of the modified system of the equations allows to predict on prominent features of experimental profiles of a current and a voltage the minimal size of pinch and a characteristic time scale of its stagnation. Modes of compression of the multiwire array in which there is a significant excess of the measured sizes of pinch as in visible and in X-ray radiation above the minimal size of pinch, obtained in modeling without taking into account ohmic resistance of plasma, are found out. The given phenomenon allows drawing a conclusion on the essential contribution in plasma energy, which is enclosed in the substance of multiwire array on a phase of pinch stagnation, by Ohm´s heating mode. Comparison of the electric power enclosed in Z-pinch with the power of X-ray output is carried out. It is shown, that during stagnation there is an effective braking movement of plasma which correlates with increase of- output X-ray power. The obtained results on dynamics of compression are compared to prelegends of 1D-dimensional model of compression.
