Abstract :
The steady-state stability of UHV demonstration project is low due to large interconnection impedance. In this paper, a DC emergency power control strategy is proposed to improve UHV demonstration project transmission capability by using DC fast adjustment to restrain the tie -line power variation and decrease UHV power oscillation peak value. The simulation results show that the North and Central China interconnection power grid can keep synchronization stability during disturbance or power shortage, after the proposed DC emergency power control strategy has been applied. The proposed control strategy can be widely applied in China to effectively improve the stability of North and Central China interconnection power grid during disturbance.
