Abstract :
In this paper, a computer program called Hybrid-DGA Interpretation software that has the ability to improve the accuracy Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) interpretation is presented. Four DGA interpretation methods are combined in this software: Key Gas, Rogers Ratio, IEC Ratio and Duval Triangle. The ability to combine more than one method increases the accuracy of fault prediction and saves computational time. Invariably, diagnostic using this computer based analysis program gives better comparison and fast analytical result of the transformer insulation; thus gives more accurate prediction leading to better management decisions critically needed for operations. The program has the ability to increase the efficiency of operation and maintenance, reduce condition assessment times, improve assessment accuracy and reduce multiple data entry errors. Using the software has increased the best prediction done with the manual computation from 77.78% to 92.31%.
