Abstract :
The hyperbolic tangent symmetric soft limiter can be realized using bipolar transistor pairs in a differential configuration. The output correlation function is analyzed for the case where the input signal is zero mean Guassian noise with a given correlation. Results are given for the limiting cases where the root-mean-square level of the input noise is much greater, or much smaller, than the ultimate limiting levels of plus and minus unity
