Abstract :
Network partitioning algorithm is widely used in reactive/voltage control, to divide a whole power grid into several sub-networks. To evaluate the effect of parameters on network partitioning schemes, this paper proposes a systematic method. Firstly, some parameters related to network partitioning schemes and their practical changing modes are analyzed. Secondly, two similarity functions are introduced to evaluate the similarity of different partitioning schemes and different operation points of power grid. Thirdly, a systematic method is proposed to evaluate the effect of parameters on network partitioning schemes, with the help of the above two similarity functions. And the systematic method can be used on all network partitioning algorithms. Finally, a network partitioning algorithm is evaluated by the proposed method on IEEE-39 power system and a practical power system. The extent, to which the network partitioning schemes is affected by some parameters with given changing modes, is analyzed with the systematic method. And the affecting pattern of key parameters is pointed out to this network partitioning algorithm.
