Abstract :
This paper deals with a new machine model to simulate the dynamic behaviour of a claw-pole alternator. Starting with the 3D numerical field calculation the fundamentals of phase voltage and current are calculated. An electric simulation circuit is defined that uses an air-gap function of 4th order, the inductivities from the field calculation, the connected rectifier bridge, battery and load impedance
