Abstract :
Baseline drift cancellation is discussed in relation to ECG wave recognition, especially for P-wave detection. According to the requirements of real-time ECG monitoring, a segmenting cubic function technique and a segmenting parabola technique, which can be conveniently used for baseline drift correction, were used, obtaining good results. An adaptive dual-threshold is presented for P-wave detection and location. The results of 34 normal and arrhythmia cases indicated that the P-wave correct detection rate and the P-R interval correspondence rate were 92.6% and 87%, respectively
