Abstract :
An automatic coating weight control algorithm in POSCOpsilas CGL(Continuous Galvanizing Line) has been developed. Conventionally, coating weight control was controlled by operatorpsilas manual adjustment. Pressure and the distance between air knives and a strip target coating. The goal of the automatic coating weight control is to reduce the zinc used for coating by precise coating control as well as automation of the process. Control algorithms implemented for automatic control are preset, feedforward and feedback control. The precise and intelligent control schemes reduce over-coating weight and coating weight deviation.
