Abstract :
We present a novel wireless data acquisition system for Euro-balise. In order to reduce channel noise and power consumption, a novel all-digital frequency shift keying (FSK) demodulation method based on the use of multi-bit XOR gates and a mean value filter is proposed. The demodulator implemented in 65nm CMOS process can demodulate the FSK signal of passive railway Euro-balise in practical test. The presented 2-level FSK demodulator consumes 0.74 mW power consumption working at 31.6 MHz frequency. Hardware test results demonstrate the proposed system can recover Euro-balise´s FSK signal and send new data to Euro-balise.
