Abstract
This paper shows the degradation in the performance of a vector-controlled induction motor system due to the skin effect using a detailed computer simulation. A compensation scheme is developed and shown to improve the static and dynamic performance of the system. These simulated results are confirmed practically using an experimental vector-controlled induction motor system
