  • Abstract
New modification of piezoelectric manner of microwave filters frequency control, as well as, the possibility to create phase shifter at microwaves/millimeter waves is discussed. Phase control is realized by the dielectric plate transposition inside of rectangular waveguide or above coplanar line. Due to a peculiar collocation of electrodes with the high-ε dielectrics adaptation, a very small mutual displacement of dielectric plates is enough to obtain the large phase shift. The devices have a minor insertion loss because high-quality dielectric materials are used. Effect of effective-ε controlling by air slot change is especially pronounced in dielectric resonator frequency tuning. Two-DR band-pass filter shows tunability over 20%.
