Abstract :
Distributed energy resources have assumed an important role in meeting the energy demand of today´s world, thanks to their dramatic growth in recent years. Their potential in reducing the green house gas emission also leads to great attentions and expectations. As DERs are integrated into the utility grid, they must follow the grid connection requirement for the stability of the power system. This paper focus on the reactive current injection during the low voltage ride through of the grid interface converter. A positive sequence and negative sequence reactive current injection technique is proposed to meet the low voltage ride through requirement, it´s the operation principle and the control design of the proposed method are explained in details, and its effectiveness is validated by laboratory test results.
