Abstract
Permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) systems are becoming more and more popular in recent years, especially for the variable-speed situations. Various power conversion topologies utilized in the PMSG systems are introduced and implemented with both the finite element analysis software MagneForce and the Matlab/Simulink. System performances and design concerns are analyzed through comparative study on the permanent magnet synchronous generator systems with different power conversion topologies, which will be useful for the design of permanent magnet machine system.
