Abstract :
The electric power system has become larger and more complex recently, and transient stability has emerged as a significant problem. The tie-line ATC (Available Transfer Capability) is one of the important indices under the environment of the introduction of renewable energies and progress of deregulation. In this paper, a new method is proposed, which employs a NAS battery system on a generator bus for improving transient stability ATC. H infinity control is used for controlling the output of the battery system. The method is tested on the IEEJ EAST 10 machine 47 bus system model. The result shows the validity of the method.
