  • Abstract
The directional measurement method of gamma radiation has been proposed and a prototype detector has been designed and tested in laboratory. The detector combines triple scintillators, i.e. a Nal (Tl), a same-shaped CSI (Tl) and a same-shaped BGO scintillator with a photomultiplier tube, and positively increases directional sensitivity to incident gamma rays in the range from 0 to 360 degrees. It has a possibility of measuring directions of gamma rays for searching radioactive materials or contaminations.
