Abstract :
Artifact-metric system using magnetic fibers can be applied for authentication system of stock certificate, bill, passport, plastic cards and other documents. The security of this system is guaranteed by its feature of difficulty in copy or reproduction. In this paper, the precision of authentication is calculated with false match rate and false non-match rate as a security system. It is found that the authentication accuracy of the artifact-metric system analyzed here can be higher than that of biometrics authentication.
