Abstract :
This work presents two different design methodologies to implement high- performance Class-D audio amplifiers with minimal power consumption. Both topologies are based on the same principle: a binary-modulation (two-level) amplifier (BMA) and a ternary-modulation (three-level) amplifier (TMA), using variable structure control.
