Abstract :
Summary form given only. Investigation results of preliminary electric explosion of a cylindrical wire liner tor x-ray radiation generation at its further implosion in Z-pinch geometry are presented in the paper. The liner implosion was carried out under effect of a current of 0.5 MA with a rise time of 0.5 mus. For preliminary explosion of the wires we used a power source providing the current from 0.5 to 1 kA through each wire. The prepulse rise time was -100 ns, length at half height was -200 ns. Delay of the mail current pulse relatively to the prepulse was varied in the range of 0.2...0.7 mus. It was established that the preliminary explosion of the liner wires in the used experimental setup causes negative effect on parameters of the generated x-ray radiation. It was supposed that this is associated with partial drift of the electric explosion products of the wires towards an axis and further interception of the main power source current with this plasma.
