Abstract :
This paper presents the performance of a stand-alone self-excited induction generator (SEIG) under balanced/unbalanced loads and excitation when SEIG is driven with wind energy system. An approach based on three-phase induction machine model is employed to derive dynamic equations of an isolated SEIG under balanced/unbalanced conditions of loads and excitation. The SEIG model with balanced/un-balanced load and excitation has been simulated using MATLAB/SIMULINK.
