Abstract :
Electric heat tracing systems have been around for decades. They are often taken for granted until a failure disrupts a process and in the worst case scenario causes a costly unit wide shutdown of an industrial facility. This is especially the case in the petroleum and chemical industries where critical processes have evolved requiring tighter control and monitoring along with predictive diagnostics. Using proven technologies, heat tracing systems can be brought into the 21st Century with real-time protection, monitoring and control to improve process reliability.
