Abstract :
The authors present a model based on the linear prediction method which has been successfully applied to a 400-kV power network with satisfactory results. Because of the presence of the second and higher order harmonic components in the fault cycle, it is necessary to use a digital sharp filter to eliminate these components. The finite impulse response filter can be achieved by using a rectangular window which results in the desired frequency response
